I tried looking up how many laws there are.   Apparently there are so many, nobody has any idea how many there actually are.   If we don't know how many there are, then we can't know what they all are.   We only know some of them.   But does it even matter?

When you come right down to it all laws exist for one reason.   To protect us from ourselves.   Is there any reason to have so many laws to do that one simple thing?   Doesn't the idea of doing no wrong really cover just about anything we don't want anybody doing?   Wouldn't it be nice to be able to teach our children one simple set of laws that everyone must obey?  

We have the power to do anything we want.   Why not make things easy?
