This purpose of this page was to link to companies/products that pay a commission on items purchased through the links below. The hope was to raise a little money to support this effort by collecting a few pennies every time someone took part in one of the actions below. 

These actions are more about sending a message. Imagine if a million bars of soap start showing up on Capital Hill (address it to your least favorite Congressperson and we can see who gets the most bars). Imagine if a million masks show up at the White House. What kind of message will that send to the powers-that-be? 

I don't remember why I chose shoes but I must have read something at the time about the lack of shoes for children around the world.  Send something else to the United Nations if you know of a more pressing need.

(Note: The use of the seals of the President and Congress of the United States and of the United Nations should not be taken to mean any of those organizations sponsor or support this effort. They just represent some good places to send stuff to since they should have the means to distribute it fairly. Have items shipped to the Red Cross if you prefer, or your own local government.)
